Services & Objective of the Society : The Aims and Objectives of the Society shall be :
To promote all academic aspects of pathology and allied subjects on a national and international level.
For promotion, development and advancement of the study and research in Pathology and allied subjects.
To provide slides, biopsy gross specimens, practical note book, pathology book, teaching material to the students of Pathology of K.G.M.U. and other medical institutions for teaching and learning purposes.
The society will do museum upkeep work, biopsy tissue gross specimen preservation, embalming of gross specimen for study, teaching, research and workshop.
Organising conferences, Master Classes, Orations, CME, Seminars & Workshopin Department of Pathology and encouraging the members of the Society to present their research papers and communications in National and International Conferences, CME, Conferences. etc.
Organising extracurricular activity, cultural programme, sports events, debates of students
The publication of journal and monographs, standard operating procedures & guidelines under the auspices of the “KGMU Pathology Welfare Society, Lucknow”
To acknowledge and encourage the efforts of meritorious students by giving them certificate, medal and trophy.
To provide assistance for teaching, learning and assessment programs for undergraduate and postgraduate student in Department of Pathology KGMU.
To work together on scientific meetings, seminars, lectures, conferences, surveys, training programs, epidemiology study camps, socialoutreach awareness teaching programmes with sample collection as per government rules and provisions of KGMU ,Lucknow
To work in collaboration with young biotechnology & Molecular Biology, Biochemical scientists, clinicians, pathology technicians and other related professional staff and encourage them to participate in the scientific health care awareness activities of the society.
To consider the synergy of the publishing activities among faculty and residents and to explore mutually beneficial arrangements to promote and share such publications.
To invite imminent reputed academic personality, guest faculty, doyen of pathology for the promotion of teaching, learning activity, master classes, foundation day oration, guest lectures, CME, conferences.
To educate and spread awareness of communicable, non communicable diseases, life style diseases in schools, teaching institutions, government and private organisation offices including print and electronic media groups, social health camps about significance of routine and special pathology tests for healthy life, maternal child health, anaemia prevention in school children, adults & old age senior citizens, cancer awareness and prevention programme , early detection of risk factors of cardiac , neurological diseases, early detection of neuro-musculo-skeletal diseases including osteoporosis, early detection and follow up of cases of diabetes and hypertension and spreading basic ground level elementary medical education to each citizens of society utilising mass communication via print and electronic media.
To work for the awareness, prevention and cure of diseases like STD, Malaria, T.B., Cancer, Polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus Hepatitis-B, Hepatitis-C, HIV, HPV vaccination for Cervix Cancer prevention, immunization programme awareness, malnutrition awareness by advising proper nutritious diet to deprived children, ante & post natal mothers, senior citizens and fellow citizens.
Establishing digital pathology, tele-pathology, digital data procurement and preservation and related research facility in Department of Pathology.
Financial support to needy Undergraduate Medical Student (MBBS) and Undergraduate Dental student (BDS) for their study.
Procuring and purchasing medical books, lap tops, computers, electronic audio-visual gadgets for Department of Pathology, KGMU, Lucknow
Establishing KGMU Pathology Department Welfare Society” web portal at Department of Pathology, KGMU, Lucknow mentioning members name, biodata details, photographs, e-mails, whatsapp numbers, awards and honours, publications in Journals, books published, membership with ID number of scientific society, editorship, compiled in maximum 150 sentences of undergraduate students , post graduate residents , all faculty members (past and present).Admin would validate members submitted above-mentioned self-loaded google sheet submitted data. It shall be edited only by Admin on member’s personal request.
To undertake all such things as are incidental and conductive to the above objectives of the Society.
Voluntary donations to “KGMU Pathology department Welfare Society” can be received with mentioning details of adhar, PAN of donar.
Annual audit of the society shall be done by Chartered Accountant
